EHS Manager / Site EHS Lead for live Data Centre Project
An international subcontractor delivering high-profile data centre projects is seeking an experienced EHS professional for a short term contract assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a technically demanding M&E fit-out project within a live data centre environment, supporting safe project delivery on site while working closely with a small, proactive team.
The Role
You will be the sole EHS resource on site, taking ownership of all day-to-day environmental, health and safety activities and ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Your daily responsibilities and tasks will be;
- Walking the site and checking that work is being carried out safely
- Monitoring high-risk activities linked to M&E fit-out works
- Reviewing RAMS and making sure the workforce is following them properly
- Carrying out toolbox talks, briefings, and safety conversations with supervisors and operatives
- Identifying unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and poor site behaviours, then correcting them
- Working with the site manager, project manager, and supervisors to resolve EHS issues quickly
- Inspecting permits, access arrangements, PPE compliance, housekeeping, lifting activities, and general work areas
- Recording incidents, near misses, observations, and corrective actions
- Preparing reports and keeping safety documentation up to date
- Making sure the project complies with client rules, site procedures, and legal requirements
Requirements
- You will have proven construction EHS experience within a live Datacenter environment
- You will be able to work independently as the sole EHS representative on site
- You will have a strong knowledge of RAMS development and review
- You will have excellent IT skills for reporting and documentation
- You will be Fluent in both English and German
